"Denny", as his friends call him, begins his twenty-third year as Executive Director in 2008.  Mr. Magruder is a long-time associate of the Arena, having worked in various accounting capacities over the history of the building.  A graduate of Wheeling Central Catholic High School and West Liberty State College, he is also a Certified Facilities Executive and member of the International Association of Assembly Managers (IAAM).  His perseverance and dedication helped to bring professional hockey and indoor football to Wheeling and WesBanco Arena.

Mr. Magruder has been the Chairman of the  IAAM Public Assembly Facility Managers School Board of Regents and currently serves as an active Board member.  He is also the current Vice President of the IAAM District 2 covering the Upper Midwest and Ontario, Canada.

Denny and his wife Barbara reside in Wheeling and have three children and six grandchildren.

Doug's tenure with the WesBanco Arena began in 1994 when he was hired as the Director of Concessions.  The following year, he was named as the Assistant Director.  

As the Asst. Director, Doug's serves as the Box Office Director, Personnel/Payroll Manager,  manager of the building's in-house advertising agency.  He also oversees the building's computer operations that includes design and maintenance of the building's web site.

A 1997 graduate of the IAAM Public Assembly Facility Managers School, Doug has been also been a member of the International Association of Assembly Managers (IAAM) for the last ten years.

Outside of the arena, Doug is a member of the Shadyside School District Board of Education as well as an assistant football coach at Shadyside High School. He also serves as President of the Shadyside High School Sports Foundation .

In past years he has served offices in the Shadyside Youth Baseball & Softball Association, OVAC Boosters Board, Shadyside Lions Club, and Board of Directors for the Northern Panhandle Big Brothers/Big Sisters.

He and his wife Melanie have three children 14, 18 & 22 and they reside in Shadyside, Ohio.

The true Operations Director, Mark has worked in just about every position at the Wesbanco Arena.  Having been hired in 1978 as a part-time concessions worker, Mark began his career at the arena.  Since that time he has worked as an usher and door guard, as part of the maintenance setup/tear down crew, even as a cook!  Now, Mark oversees the operation of the building's maintenance department including the setup/tear down crew.  Mark was instrumental in the early days of hockey and the making of ice in the arena.  His knowledge of ice-making has earned him the respect of Operations Directors around the country.

Mark is a graduate of Wheeling Central Catholic High School and West Virginia Northern Community College.  In his spare time, Mark is a Little League baseball coach and football coach with Wheeling Park Little Patriots and enjoys playing softball, flag football and basketball.

Mark and his wife Candy have three children ranging in ages 12 to 16 and they reside in Wheeling.

Sonya actually began her tenure at the WesBanco Arena through a  temporary hire service that was being used as the management team looked for a permanent secretary.  Sonya quickly impressed and was asked to consider a full-time secretarial position. 

Since that time, Sonya has became an integral part of the day to day operation of the building.  In addition to her clerical duties, Sonya handles much of the bookkeeping as well as publishing the monthly newsletter.   She is also the Coordinator of the successful "Christmas In November" craft show held every year in the third weekend of November.   The show, under her guidance, has grown to be one of the largest and most successful craft shows in the tri-state. area. 

Sonya resides in Yorkville, Ohio with her two children.
